Meme Kanseri, Kadın, Eş ve Yaşanılan Sorunlar

Meme kanseri, cerrahi ve tedavileri nedeni ile kadınların ve eşlerin bir takım fiziksel ve psikososyal sorunlar yaşamalarına neden olmaktadır. Bu nedenle, meme kanseri bir “çift” hastalığı olarak kabul edilmekte ve eş ile ilişkide her iki tarafında stres düzeyini artırmaktadır. Yaşanan bu stresi azaltmada, çiftin bakım ve tedavide karar verme sürecine aktif katılımının sağlanması gerekmektedir. Hemşire, hastaların ve ailelerinin tedavi ve semptomlarla baş etmelerine yardımcı olmak için kaliteli bakımın önemli bir unsurudur ve meme kanserli kadınlara gereksinim duydukları, etkili ve hasta merkezli bakımı sağlar. Sonuçta, hemşirenin meme kanserli kadınların yaşadığı psikososyal sorunlara çözüm bulmak için çift-temelli girişimlere ağırlık vermesi ve eşlere, sorunların yönetimine yardımcı olmak için uygun baş etme stratejileri geliştirmeleri için destek olması gerekmektedir. Bu çalışma, meme kanseri sonucu çiftlerin yaşadıkları sorunlar, bu sorunların yönetimi ve hemşirenin rolünü ele almak amacı ile yapılmıştır.
