Cerebral palsy is a neurological disease that is usually diagnosed at an early age but continues until later in life as life expectancy increases. It is characterized by nutritional issues like chewing and swallowing disorders, with chronic ailments related to nutrition, sarcopenia, and malnutrition being common. While studies conducted to date generally cover infancy and childhood, recommendations for the adult patient population remain superficial in the literature. In intensive care units, determining the nutritional status and needs of cerebral palsy patients becomes complex with secondary complications. There is a need for further research and a multidisciplinary approach to devise protocols for adult patients and plan nutritional therapy. This case report examines the nutritional management of a 27-year-old male cerebral palsy patient in an intensive care unit.
