BİREYLERİN SAĞLIK BİLGİSİ ARAMA DAVRANIŞLARININ DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ: ISPARTA İLİ ÖRNEĞİ

Öz

Sağlık bilgisi arama davranışı, bireylerin hastalık veya genel sağlık durumları ile ilgili bilinçli bir şekilde edinmek istedikleri bilgileri edinme süreci olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Bireylerin formal ve informal kanallar aracılığıyla edindikleri sağlık bilgileri, sağlık düzeyleri ile doğrudan ilişkili olduğu için ciddi bir öneme sahiptir. Bu nedenle kişilerin sağlık bilgilerini hangi kaynaklardan elde ettiği, ne kadar güvendiği ve bu bilgiler sonucunda ne yaptığı gibi soruların cevaplanması önemlidir. Bu çalışmada demografik değişkenler çerçevesinde bireylerin sağlık bilgisi arama davranışları araştırılmaktadır. Araştırma evrenini Isparta il merkezinde yaşayan 18 yaş üzeri bireyler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında 408 kişiye ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Medlock ve arkadaşları (2015) tarafından “Health Information–Seeking Behavior of Seniors Who Use the Internet: A Survey” adlı çalışma kapsamında geliştirilen 40 ifadeden oluşan anket, Türkçe’ye çevrilerek kullanılmıştır. Değişkenler ile sorular arasında ilişkiler t Testi, varyans analizi ve korelasyon analizi ile incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre en çok sağlık bilgisi edinilen kaynaklar sağlık personeli, internet ve sosyal medya, en az sağlık bilgisi edinilen üç kaynağın ise radyo, telefon danışma hattı ve mobil sağlık uygulamaları olduğu görülmüştür. Bireylerin en çok güvendiği kaynağın sağlık personeli, en az güvendiği kaynağın radyo olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca sağlık bilgi edinme ve güven düzeyi demografik değişkenlere göre karşılaştırılmış ve bazı değişkenlerde farklılıklar bulunmuştur. Bireylerin sağlık bilgisi ararken kullandıkları kaynakların güvenilirlik düzeyleri hakkında Sağlık Bakanlığı ve diğer paydaşlar tarafından farkındalıklarının arttırılması için çalışmalar yapılması önerilmektedir.
