Poetry has been the most important transfer technique of memory in the oral periods of culture. The importance of poetry in culture has led to the birth of many traditions. In this sense, the art of telling poetry in Turkish culture has been an important branch of tradition that has been maintained for centuries and formed certain stereotypes in various periods. This tradition has continued after the invention of writing and has survived to the present day. Today, traditional character of the art of poetry, which we encounter in electronic and digital cultural contexts, is connected to the cultural heritage in this. Ashik literature, one of the important traditions of Turkish folk poetry has trained representatives from the 16th century to the present. Its representatives are often called ashik, minstrel or folk poet. The ashik usually learns this tradition by dream motif, master-apprentice relationship or by oneself. In this study, the Ozanca, which is named as the young generation representative of Turkish folk poetry, is examined in the context of his live and his art and works. Ozanca, who was examined in the article, was named as a folk poet because he did not have the skills such as playing the instrument, solving riddle, and battle of words, which are important elements of the minstrelsy tradition. In the article, Ozanca's acquaintance with poetry, dream motif, love wine, nickname, first poetry and his works produced in traditional style in the field of folk poetry are analyzed based on the data of the minstrel tradition. In addition, the contributions of Ozanca to folk poetry in the context of transferring the tradition to the future are also evaluated.
