Hemşirelik Öğrencileri Tarafından Engelli Hayvanlar ile İlgili Verilen Eğitimlerin Lise Öğrencilerinin Bireysel ve Sosyal Sorumluluk ile Manevi Duyarlılığına Etkisi

Öz

Amaç: Araştırmanın amacı hemşirelik lisans öğrencileri tarafından sahipsiz engelli hayvanlar ile ilgili online ve yüz yüze uygulanan eğitimlerin lise öğrencilerinin bireysel ve sosyal sorumluluk ve manevi duyarlılıklarına etkisini incelemektir.
Yöntem: Bu araştırma tek grupta ön test-son test ve yarı deneysel yöntemleri kullanarak bir lisede 203 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada; öğrenci demografik özellikler formu, Bireysel ve Sosyal Sorumluluk Ölçeği ve Manevi Duyarlılık Ölçeği gibi veri toplama araçları kullanılmıştır. Eğitimler iki haftada bir 20 dakika sürecek şekilde toplam 3 ay boyunca yapılmıştır ve yüz yüze gerçekleştirilmiştir. Eğitimler arasında proje bilgilendirme, engelli hayvan bakımı, röportajlar, yasal haklar ve hayvan barınağı ziyareti yer almıştır.
Bulgular: Öğrencilerin Bireysel ve Sosyal Sorumluluk Ölçeğinin ön testlerde ortalama puanı 60,3 iken son testlerde 63,7’ye yükselmiştir. Bu artış anlamlı bir fark göstermektedir. Manevi Duyarlılık Ölçeği ortalama puanı ön testlerde 43,4 iken son testlerde 45,1’e yükselmiştir. Öğrencilerin bilgi testi puan ortalaması ön testlerde puan 10,9 iken son testlerde 12,9’a yükselmiştir.
Sonuç: Bu araştırma sonucunda hemşirelik öğrencileri tarafından lise öğrencilerine verilen eğitimler ile lise öğrencilerinde sosyal sorumluluk ve manevi duyarlılık puanı artmıştır. Bakım giderleri azalmıştır ve daha fazla hayvana bakım fırsatı sağlanmıştır.

The Effect of Trainings Provided by Nursing Students on Disabled Animals on Individual and Social Responsibility and Spiritual Sensitivity of High School Students

Öz

Objective: To examine the effect of online and face-to-face trainings about stray disabled animals by nursing students on high school students' individual and social responsibility spiritual sensitivity.
Methods: This research was conducted with 203 students in a high school using one-group pretest-posttest and quasi-experimental methods. The study used data collection tools such as student demographic characteristics form, Individual and Social Responsibility Scale and Spiritual Sensitivity Scale. The trainings were conducted every two weeks for 20 minutes for a total of 3 months and were face-to-face. The trainings included project information, disabled animal care, interviews, legal rights and animal shelter visit.
Results: The score of students' individual and social responsibility increased from 60.3 in the pre-test to 63.7 in the post-test p<0.05. The score on the Spiritual Sensitivity scale increased from 43.4 in the pre-tests to 45.1 in the post-tests. The score of the knowledge test increased from 10.9 in the pre-tests to 12.9 in the post-tests.
Conclusion: As a result of this research, the social responsibility and moral sensitivity scores of high school students increased significantly with the trainings given by nursing students to high school students. Maintenance costs decreased and more animals were given the opportunity to be cared for.
