SCHOOL HEALTH NURSES’ PERCEPTION OF THEIR ROLES AND NURSING DIAGNOSIS

Öz

AIM: To developing autonomy among school health nurses we need to know how school healthnurses’s perception of their professional roles and the nursing diagnosis.This study purpose was tounderstantand how school health nurses perception of their professional roles and meaning of nursingdiagnosis.METHODOLOGY: This study was conducted by using qualitative approach. Conveinence samplingwas used and participants were consist of all nurses who work school health setting at private primaryschool in Ankara city. Interviews were continued until the qualitative data saturation.13 school healthnurses were participated in this study. All interviews were tape-recorded and written site notes byresearchers. After the each interview,verbatim transcripts of these interviews were conducted. MaxWeber’s “Ideal Type” was used as a method of qualitative data analysis.RESULTS: This study explain that school health nurses’ perception of their roles and nursingdiagnosis. According to this study results, the nurses’ perception of their roles were defined as a lowlevel and negative nursing process image

OKUL SAĞLIĞI HEMŞİRELERİNİN MESLEKİ ROLLERİ VE HEMŞİRELİK TANILARINA İLİŞKİN ALGILAMALARI

Öz

AMAÇ: Okul sağlığı hemşireliğinde otonominin geliştirilebilmesi için onların mesleki rollerini vehemşirelik tanılarını nasıl algıladıklarının bilinmesine gereksinim duyulmaktadır.Bu çalışma okul sağlığıhizmetlerinde çalışan hemşirelerin mesleki rolleri ve hemşirelik tanılarına ilişkin algılamalarını ortayakoymak amacıyla yapılmıştır.YÖNTEM: Kalitatif yaklaşımla yürütülen bu çalışmada amaca uygun örnekleme yöntemikullanılmıştır.Ankara’da Özel İlköğretim Okullarında çalışan tüm hemşirelerle görüşmelerplanlanmıştır.Görüşmeler veri doygunluğu sağlanıncaya kadar sürdürülmüş ve 13 okul sağlığı hemşiresiile görüşme yapılmıştır. Teybe kaydedilen görüşme içeriği yanı sıra tutulan gözlem notları her bir görüşmesonrası çözümlenmiştir.Verilerin analizinde Max Weber ‘in “ İdeal Tip “ olarak isimlendirdiği kalitatifveri analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır.SONUÇ:Bu çalışma sonucu olarak, okul sağlığı alanında çalışan hemşirelerin okul sağlığı ve okulsağlığı hemşireliğinde kendi mesleki rollerine ilişkin algılarının olumlu tablo çizmediği ortaya konulmuştur
