Abdullah b. Ali had benefited on creation of the Abbasid state especially has attracted attention on him to defeat the last Umayyad caliph Marwan b. Muhammad in the battle of Zap and by his activities in the process of elimination the Umayyad house. Due to the success of the job was rewarded with the governorship of Damascus and in this process received pledges of hereditary from Abu’l-Abbas, the first caliph of the Abbasid state. But when, Abu Jafar al-Mansur emerged as the second caliph he started the revolt on the grounds thought the caliphate was his right. Assurance was given to him after the rebellion, resulting in failure to surrender. After studying process of the revolt of Abdullah b. Ali, the letter, given him by Abu Jafar al-Mansur, will be dealt with. How the letter was created and how it was transferred to subsequent generations in the following years; which sacred values were processed in the text; how they were used to achieve political aspirations; to what extent these values were considered in the political decisions and what was their dignity? The questions will be answered in the article.
