To provide the outline of. In this architectural role
they do not draw the final lines and do not manage the structure of a building
that emerges from these lines. Instead, religious philosophers, draftsmen and
engineers keep in mind what they have discovered, drawing on drafts of what is
possible with the assessment of the weak and firm aspects of each situation. In
this role they suggest why the existing structure should be kept in mind, or
how they could be changed to produce a more satisfying structure if they did.
While it is always possible for the philosopher of religion to make plans to
form a completely new form of religious faith, any practicing philosopher can.

Taslağının ana hatlarını sunmaktır. Bu mimari rolde onlar son çizgileri çizmezler ve bu çizgilerden çıkan bir binanın yapısını idare etmezler. Onun yerine din felsefeci- leri, ölçümcüler ve mühendislerin keşfettikleri şeyi zihinde tutarak, her bir du- rumun zayıf ve sağlam yönlerinin değerlendirilmesi ile birlikte mümkün olabi- len şeyin taslaklarını çizerler. Bu rolde onlar var olan yapının niçin akılda tu- tulması gerektiğini veya hüküm vermişlerse o yapının daha tatmin edici olanını üretmek için nasıl değiştirilebileceğini ileri sürerler. Din felsefecisinin prensip- te, dini inancın tamamen yeni formunu oluşturmaya yönelik planlar yapması daima mümkün olsa da, pratikte itibarlı herhangi bir filozof böyle bir şeyi yapmaz.
