Religious Authority in the context of possibility of knowledge

In this paper, it is aimed, in a critical point of view, to analyze the concept of the authority, and its connection to religion. I attempted to investigate the answers to the following questions: What is religious authority? How should authority be understood in terms if religious and political points of view? So, what is the meaning of political authority? Finally, this article shows that it is not possible to understand and accept religious authority in the sense of political authority. One of the most fundamental reasons for this is that possibilities for obtaining knowledge concerning these two areas. My critics have been directed against accepting religious authority as a political authority.

Bilginin İmkanı Bağlamında “Dini Otorite”

Öz

Bu makalede eleştirel bir bakışla otorite kavramı ve onun dini alanla ilişkisi analiz edilmektedir. Şu sorulara yanıt aranmaktadır: Dini otoritenin anlamı nedir? Dini ve Siyasal açıdan otoritenin nasıl anlaşılması gerekir? Ve Sonuçta siyasal otoritenin anlamı nedir? Sonuç olarak, bu makale göstermektedir ki; dini otoriteyi siyasal otorite anlamında anlamak ya da kabul etmek mümkün değildir. Bunun en temel nedenlerinden birisi her iki alana ilişkin bilgi elde imkanımızın farklılığıdır. Benim eleştirilerimde dini otoritenin siyasal otorite olarak anlaşılmasına yöneliktir.
