The mediator role of perceived social support in the relationship between object relations and posttraumatic growth in young adults

Öz

The aim of this study examining the mediating role of perceived social support in the relationship between object relations and posttraumatic growth levels of young adults aged 18-35. The sample of the study consisted of 257 (%76,9) women, 77 (%23,1) men 334 participants. The relational screening model and the snowball sampling method was used. Participants, completed Bell Object Relations and Reality Assessment Scale (BORRTI), Posttraumatic Growth Scale (PTGI), Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) and the Sociodemographic information form prepared by researchers. SPSS 25,00 Program was used for the statistical data analysis. In the data analysis phase, analysis of mediating variables analysis (PROCESS) and Pearson correlation analysis were conducted. According to the findings obtained from the study, it was determined that perceived social support played a mediating role in the relationship between object relations and posttraumatic growth.

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı, 18-35 yaş arasındaki genç yetişkinlerin nesne ilişkileri ile travma sonrası büyüme düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkide algılanan sosyal desteğin aracı rolünü incelemektir. Çalışmanın örneklemini 257 kadın (%76,9) 77(%23,1) erkek 334 katılımcı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada ilişkisel tarama modeli ve kartopu örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Katılımcılar, araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan Sosyodemografik bilgi formu, Bell Nesne İlişkileri ve Gerçeği Değerlendirme Ölçeği (BORRTI), Travma Sonrası Büyüme Ölçeği (TSBÖ) ve Çok Boyutlu Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği (ÇBASDÖ) doldurmuşlardır. İstatistiksel analizler, Sosyal Bilimler için İstatistik (SPSS) Programı 25,00 ile yapılmıştır. Data analizi aşamasında aracı değişken analizi (PROCESS) ve Pearson korelasyon analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre nesne ilişkileri ile travma sonrası büyüme arasındaki ilişkide algılanan sosyal desteğin aracı rolü olduğu belirlenmiştir.
