Self-esteem is defined as person's the totality of positive or negative feelings, thoughts, and behaviors about the herself. The sense of worthiness and competence that people perceive towards themselves is very important in shaping self-esteem. Early life experiences are very effective in the formation of self-esteem of individuals and has a great role in laying the foundations of health psychologically. For this reason, low self-esteem, which is shaped by early life experiences, can be the cause of many psychological problems. In this context, the aim of this study is to examine the effectiveness of psychological counseling process based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Positive Psychotherapy to cope with low self-esteem, and to increase self-esteem. For this purpose, 9 sessions were held with a 21-year-old female university student who had some psychological problems due to low self-esteem. The effectiveness of the program was examined with pre-test-post-test results and qualitative data through the Life Satisfaction Scale, Positive and Negative Affect Scale, Beck Depression Inventory and Trait Anxiety Inventory. As a result of the study, it was observed that with the increase in the level of self-esteem, the client's self-confidence increased, her life satisfaction increased, negative emotions decreased, positive emotions increased, her depressive symptoms and anxiety levels decreased, and she looked at life with a different perspective.
