Social media occupies a significant place in individuals' daily lives, and the content to which individuals are exposed directly affects their psychological processes. In this context, the legitimization of criminal behaviors by social media influencers can impact individuals' psychological well-being and life satisfaction. This study aims to examine the effects of legitimizing crime on psychological well-being and life satisfaction, as well as the moderating roles of nomophobia and social media usage status in these relationships. The study sample consists of 274 social media users aged between 18 and 55. As data collection tools, participants were presented with a manipulation text prepared within an experimental design framework, followed by the Demographic Information Form, the Psychological Well-Being Scale, the Life Satisfaction Scale, the Nomophobia Scale, and questions regarding social media usage status, all of which were completed online. The data obtained in the study were analyzed using the Jamovi 2.6.26 statistical software. According to the findings, psychological well-being, life satisfaction, and nomophobia levels differ depending on the legitimization of crime. Furthermore, legitimizing criminal behavior and social media usage status had significant effects on psychological well-being and life satisfaction. The findings of this research are expected to contribute to the literature on the relatively new topic of crimes committed by social media influencers
