Eski Değil Eskimeyen Hastalık: Tüberküloz

Öz

Tüberküloz (TB), tedavisi ve aşısı olmasına rağmen görülmeye devam eden, epidemiler yapan dünyanın en eski hastalıklarından biridir. Dünyada ve Türkiye’de TB ile mücadelede etkin bir rol oynayan hemşireler; tedavi ve bakım uygulamalarının etkinliğinin artırılması ve hastalığın yayılımının önlenmesinde önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu derlemede TB’nin tanı, tedavisi ve önlenmesine ilişkin bilgiler verilmiştir. Özellikle TB ile mücadelede hemşirelerin etkinliğinin değerlendirildiği rehberlerden ve çalışmalardan örnekler sunulmuştur.

Not Old But The Ageless Disease: Tuberculosis

Öz

Despite it has a cure and vaccination, tuberculosis that still occurs and causes epidemics is one of the world’s oldest diseases. In the world and in Turkey, nurses who has an active role in fight against TB have a great role in improving efficacy of treatment and care practices and preventing the spread of the disease. In this study, information about diagnosis, treatment and prevention of TB are given. Especially, examples from guidelines and studies that assessed the efficiency of nurses in fight against TB are presented.
