Öz

Aim: In this study, it was aimed to determine in detail the opinions and experiences of women giving birth regarding the safety of the care they received as stakeholders receiving care services.
Material and Methods: Phenomenological design was used as a qualitative research method. The research was conducted between February 2023 and June 2023 with 15 women who gave vaginal birth or had a cesarean section in state hospitals in the Central Anatolia region of Türkiye. The research was conducted following the COREQ checklist.
Results: The collected data were categorized into nine codes and ten sub-themes under three main themes: "Definition of Safe Care"; "Factors Affecting Receiving Safe Care" and "Implications for Safe Care".
Conclusion: In conclusion, this study addressed safe care from the perspective of women receiving care during labor. These opinions and experiences of women who give birth can guide healthcare professionals, hospital and nurse managers, and policymakers in providing safer and higher quality care during labor and in making arrangements in this direction.
