Analysis Of Economists And Their Studies Who Received The Nobel Prize In The Science Of Economics In Terms Of Social Policy’s Academic Area

Öz

Nobel prizes do not include the studies in the field of economics. However, since 1969, the Swedish Central Bank Sveriges Riksbank has been awarded the economists with the Nobel Foundation collaboration. This study has been prepared with the aim of separating the studies related to the field of social policy science of economic science awards given between 1969-2018. The field of social policy science includes macro-subject components such as employment, unemployment, establishment of welfare and struggle against poverty within the scope of “labour economics“ and “industrial relations”. The studies of 50 years and 80 economists covering the relevant period were examined by scanning method. The studies related to social policy were accessed by using internet and library database. The works were reviewed and the opinions about the field were tried to be reflected to the reader. At the end of the study, it was seen that economic crisis and wartime periods affected the in social policy related issues, and the most prominent issues within the scope of the study were fighting against poverty, unemployment and regulation of labor markets. It was also determined that in the Turkey’s academic field is not noticed many award-winning economists who produce works in the field of social policy.

Nobel Taltifli Ekonomi Bilim Ödülü Alan İktisatçılar Ve Eserlerinin Sosyal Politika Akademik Alanı Açısından İncelenmesi

Öz

Nobel
ödülleri esasen ekonomi alanda yapılan çalışmaları kapsamaz. Ancak 1969’dan
beri Nobel Vakfının taltifi ile İsveç Merkez Bankası Sveriges Riksbank
tarafından ekonomi alanında da ödül verilmektedir. Bu çalışma 1969-2018
arasında verilen ekonomi bilim ödüllerinin sosyal politika bilim alanı ile
ilgili olanlarını ayrıştırmak amacı ile hazırlanmıştır. Sosyal politika bilim
alanı, “çalışma ekonomisi” ve “endüstri ilişkileri” kapsamında istihdam,
işsizlik, refahın tesisi, yoksullukla mücadele gibi makro konu bileşenlerini
içermektedir. İlgili dönemi kapsayan 50 yıl ve 80 iktisatçının eserleri tarama
yöntemi ile incelenmiştir. Sosyal politika ile ilgili görülenlere internet ve
kütüphane veri tabanı kullanılarak ulaşılmıştır. Eserler gözden geçirilerek
alanla ilgili görüşler okuyucuya yansıtılmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışma sonunda
ekonomik kriz ve savaş dönemlerinin sosyal politika ile ilgili konularda
çalışanların öne çıkmasına etkide bulunduğu, çalışma kapsamında en fazla öne
çıkan konuların yoksullukla mücadele, işsizlik ve işgücü piyasalarının
düzenlenmesi olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca sosyal politika alanında eser üreten
birçok ödüllü iktisatçının Türkiye akademik alanında fark edilmediği tespiti de
yapılmıştır.
