This research focuses on spatial design systems for the user's physical, environmental, social, and cultural comfort in traditional Iran houses. In this context, the spatial organization of traditional houses for the user's long-term comfort can be viewed as a model for contemporary house design. Sustainable building design solutions used in traditional Iranian architecture could be used in modern buildings. The spatial organization of traditional houses in Tabriz, Iran's cold-arid region, will be examined in this study using examples of user comfort, climate characteristics, natural energy, and material usage methods. In terms of user comfort, this study assessed the spatial, and socio-cultural characteristics of traditional houses in Tabriz. These characteristics, as well as changes over time, have resulted in a different approach in new generation residential architecture. The aim of study is to identify the effective factors in traditional residential architecture and space organization in Tabriz. As a result, physical, climatic, environmental, social, and cultural features in Tabriz's traditional residential architecture can be considered effective factors in the design for user comfort. In this sense, traditional housing architecture's space organization and user needs can be evaluated as a sustainable housing model in line with today's technology needs in contemporary housing design.
