Kamusal İnsanı Yeniden İnşa Etmek: Bir Araç Olarak Açık Kamusal Alan Etkinlik Rehberleri ve İstanbul/ Kurtuluş Semtine Yönelik Öneriler

Öz

Gruplar halinde yaşayan ve etkileşim halinde olan organizmalar olarak insan sosyal bir varlıktır ve iletişim, sosyalleşme/etkileşim, gruplara katılım, topluma ve mekâna aidiyet gibi sosyal ihtiyaçlara sahiptir. Bununla birlikte, metropol kentler kalabalıklaştıkça toplum birbiriyle olan bağlarını yitirmeye başlamıştır. Kentin özü olarak tanımlanmış olan mahallelerin günümüzdeki durumu da bu şekildedir. Kamusal hayatın çökmüş olduğu böylesi bir günümüz toplumunda ‘kamusal insanın yeniden inşası’ için insanların bir araya gelebileceği ortak zeminlerin oluşturulması gerekliliği doğmuştur. Topluluk inşa eden bir araç olarak görülen açık kamusal etkinlikler ve ritüeller, insanlara bir yere gelmeleri ve tekrar kullanmaları için sebepler vermekte; ortak bir paydada ve amaçta buluşabilmelerini sağlamakta, toplum ruhunu oluşturmada rol oynamaktadır. Bu doğrultuda çalışma, öncelikle kamusal etkinliklere yönelik hazırlanmış uluslararası rehberleri analiz etmeyi, sonrasında İstanbul’un Şişli/ Kurtuluş semtine yönelik konsept etkinlik ve organizasyon rehberinin içeriğine yönelik öneriler sunmayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma, sosyo-mekânsal bir perspektifle etkinlik ve organizasyonları incelemekte olup, örneklem alan olarak seçilmiş olan ve gerek tarihi gerek kültürel açıdan özgünlüğe sahip bir semt olan ‘Kurtuluş’ semti özelinde öneriler sunması açısından öneme sahiptir.

Reconstructing the Public Human: Open Public Space Event Guides as a Tool and Suggestions for Istanbul/ Kurtuluş Neighbourhood

Öz

As organisms that live and interact in groups, humans are social beings and have social needs such as communication, socialization/interaction, participation in groups, and belonging to a community and place. However, as metropolitan cities have become more crowded, society has started to lose its ties with each other. This is the current state of neighborhoods, which are defined as the essence of the city. In today's society, where public life has collapsed, it has become necessary to create common grounds where people can come together for the 'reconstruction of the public person'. Open public events and rituals, which are seen as a community-building tool, give people reasons to come to a place and use it again; they enable them to meet on a common ground and purpose, and play a role in creating a community spirit. In this respect, the study aims to first analyze international guides for public events and then offer suggestions for the content of a conceptual event and organization guide for the Şişli/Kurtuluş district of Istanbul. The study examines events and organizations from a socio-spatial perspective and is important in terms of providing recommendations for the 'Kurtuluş' district, which has been selected as a sample area and is a district with both historical and cultural authenticity.
