BASIC BODY AWARENESS THERAPY EGZERSİZLERİNİN VÜCUT FARKINDALIK DURUMU, YAŞAM KALİTESİ, UYKU KALİTESİ VE DUYGU DURUMU ÜZERİNE ETKİLERİ: RETROSPEKTİF BİR İNCELEME

Öz

Amaç:.Bu araştirmanin amaci İstanbul Esenyurt Üniversitesi Öğrencilerinde Basic Body Awareness Therapy Egzersizlerinin Vücut Farkindalik Durumuna, Yaşam Kalitesine, Uyku Kalitesine ve Duygu Durumu Üzerine Etkilerini incelemektir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştirmada 3. Sinif Koruyucu Fizyoterapi ve Rehabilitasyon dersinin pratik ders uygulamalarina katilan Basic Body Awareness Egzersizleri yapan gönüllü öğrencilerin dosyalari incelenip veriler toplandi. Bu verilerden egzersiz öncesi ve sonrasi elde edilen ölçek sonuçlari retrospektif olarak analiz edildi. Öğrenci onamlarinin bulunduğu dosyalarda, demografik bilgiler ve egzersiz öncesinde ve sonrasinda kullanilan öğrencilerin doldurduğu ölçekler mevcuttur. Bu ölçekler, Body Awareness Questionnaire (Vücut Farkindalik Durumu Ölçeği), Whoqol Bref (Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği), Beck
Depresyon Skalasi (Duygu Durum Ölçeği) ve Pittsburgh Uyku Kalite İndeksidir. Bulgular: Bu araştirmada, katilimcilarin Basic Body Awareness Therapy Egzersizlerini uygulamalarindan sonra, vücut farkindaliklarinda, yaşam kalitelerinde, uyku kalitelerinde ve duygu durumlarinda egzersizleri yapmadan önceki durumlarina göre olumlu yönde artiş olduğu görülmektedir. Sonuç: Temel beden bilinci terapisi olan Basic Body Awareness Therapy Egzersizleri kişinin hareket kalitesini arttirarak, fiziksel, zihinsel, duygusal farkindaliği ve aralarindaki ilişkiyi nöroplastisite etkisiyle arttirirlar. Son yillarda fizyoterapistlerin artan kas-iskelet sistemi rahatsizliklari ve zihinsel sağlik sorunlari
gibi karmaşik sağlik sorunlarinin üstesinden gelebilmelerini sağlayan fizyoterapi alaninin bir tedavi yöntemidir. Sağliği olumlu etkileyen Basic Body Awareness Therapy Egzersizleri gibi beden farkindaliğini artiran tedavi yöntemlerinin fizyoterapi uygulamalarinda kullanilmasi gereklidir.

EFFECTS OF BASIC BODY AWARENESS THERAPY EXERCISES ON BODY AWARENESS, QUALITY OF LIFE, SLEEP QUALITY AND MOOD: A RETROSPECTIVE REVIEW

Öz

Objective: The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of Basic Body Awareness Therapy Exercises on Body Awareness, Quality of Life, Sleep Quality and Emotional State in Istanbul Esenyurt University Students. Material and Methods: In the research, data were collected by examining the files of volunteer students who participated in the practical lessons of the 3rd Grade Preventive Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation course and performed Basic Body Awareness Exercises. The scale results obtained from these data before and after exercise were analyzed retrospectively. The files containing student consents include demographic information and scales filled out by students before and after the exercise. These scales are the Body Awareness Questionnaire, Whoqol Bref (Quality of Life Scale), Beck Depression Scale (Mood Scale) and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index. Results: In this study, after the participants applied the Basic Body Awareness Therapy Exercises, it was observed that there was a positive increase in their body awareness, quality of life, sleep quality and emotional state compared to their situation before doing the exercises. Conclusion: Basic Body Awareness Therapy Exercises, which are basic body awareness therapy, increase the person's movement quality and increase physical, mental, emotional awareness and the relationship between them with the effect of neuroplasticity. It is a treatment method in the field of physiotherapy that enables physiotherapists to overcome complex health problems such as musculoskeletal disorders and mental health problems, which have increased in recent years. Treatment methods that increase body awareness, such as Basic Body Awareness Therapy Exercises, which positively affect health, should be used in physiotherapy practices.
