Constipation is a symptom that is seen in many parts of society but is more common in childhood, pregnancy and old age periods. It is a significant health problem when the ailments it creates on patients, loss of labor, treatment costs and negative impact on the quality of life are taken into account. In the treatment of chronic constipation, a number of lifestyle changes and dietary recommendations before laxatives have become routine in clinical practice. These recommendations include feeding with foods rich in lifts, adding fiber supplements, increasing fluid intake, regular exercise and not delaying excretion. In addition, recent studies have shown that probiotics may also be involved in the treatment of constipation. Probiotics help improve symptoms of constipation by normalizing bowel mobility with their effect on the gut microbiota and their metabolites In this study, the effects and results of probiotic use in the treatment of constipation were investigated.
