BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS WITH VOSVIEWER ON THE CONCEPT OF EMOTION SOCIALIZATION

Every individual is born with the innate ability to regulate and express their emotions. However, they need guidance to use this ability correctly at the right time and place. Undoubtedly, the person or persons who will accompany them on this path are the family members in the home where they were born, namely, their parents. For individuals to use these innate skills correctly, their parents must understand their emotions and socialize them by modeling appropriate behavior. This study aims to evaluate publications on the concept of emotion socialization in the Scopus database using bibliometric analysis and to identify the characteristics and development of the literature on emotion socialization from 1988 to 2026. Access was provided to 116 studies between 1988 and 2026 in the Scopus database. The bibliometric analysis of the studies was performed using Vosviewer software. It was found that the highest number of studies and citations related to the concept of emotional socialization occurred in 2001, that the most cited study was Fabes et al. (2001) 's study titled "Parental coping with children's negative emotions: Relations with children's emotional and social responding," and that the United States was the country that published the most articles. The most frequently used keywords related to emotion socialization were human, socialization, and emotion.
