Erken çocukluk dönemindeki çocukların aile ilişkilerinin öyküler yoluyla incelenmesi

Öz

Bu araştırma, Niğde’deki MEB’e bağlı okullara devam etmekte olan 4-8 yaş çocukların aileleri ile ilişkilerini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Betimsel nitelik taşıyan bu araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan durum çalışması kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubunu kolay ulaşılabilir örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılında Niğde ilinde bağımsız anaokullarına ve ilkokullara devam eden 315 çocuk (173’ü kız, 142’si erkek) oluşturmaktadır. Çocukların aile ilişkilerine yönelik sahip oldukları algıları ortaya çıkarmak için veri toplama aracı olarak Evirgen (2010) tarafından geliştirilen “Öykülerle Yansıtılmış Aile İlişkileri Testi” kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada aile üyelerinden oluşan parmak kuklalar kullanılarak çocuklardan yarım bırakılan öyküleri tamamlamaları istenmiştir. Çocukların aile ilişkilerine yönelik algıları içerik analizi yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Öykü testinin analizi sonunda katılımcıların aile ilişkilerinin olumlu ya da olumsuz olduğu değerlendirildiğinde kızların ortalaması 23.5, erkeklerin ortalaması 22 ve bütün çocukların ortalaması 23 olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu ortalamalara göre 105 kız çocuğun ve 78 erkek çocuğun ailelerinin ilişkileri olumlu bulunmuştur. Araştırmanın sonucuna göre tüm çocuklar bir arada değerlendirildiğinde 183 ailenin aile içi ilişkileri olumlu, 132 ailenin ise olumsuz bulunmuştur.

Investigation of family relationships of children in early childhood through stories

Öz

This research aims to reveal the relationships between families and their 4-8 years old children attending preschools in Nigde. In this descriptive study, case study, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The study group was selected by convenient sampling method and included 315 children (173 girls, 142 boys) attending independent kindergartens and primary schools affiliated to MoNE in Nigde province in 2018-2019 academic year. As a data collection tool, Evirgen (2010) “Doll Story Completion Task” was used to reveal the perceptions of children about the family relationships. In the study, finger puppets consisting of family members were asked to complete the stories that were left unfinished. Perceptions of children about family relationships were examined by content analysis method. At the end of the analysis of the story test, it was found that the average of the girls was 23.5, the average of boys was 22 and the average of all children was 23 when the family relations of the participants were evaluated as positive or negative. According to these averages, the relationships of families with 105 girls and 78 boys were found to be positive. In accordance with the results of the study, 183 children were found to have positive family relationships and 132 families were found negative when all children were evaluated together.
