SOSYAL BİLGİLER DERSİNDE FİNANSAL OKURYAZARLIK BECERİSİNİN ETKİNLİKLER YOLUYLA KAZANDIRILMASINA İLİŞKİN EYLEM ARAŞTIRMASI

Öz

Sosyal bilgiler dersi, bilgi, beceri ve değer öğretimiyle etkili vatandaş yetiştirmeyi hedefleyen bir derstir. Bu derste toplumsal yaşamda her bireyin sahip olması gereken bir takım beceriler kazandırılır. Bu becerilerden biri de finansal okuryazarlık becerisidir. Bu araştırmada, Sosyal Bilgiler dersi öğretim programında yer alan “finansal okuryazarlık” becerisine ilişkin hazırlanan etkinliklerin öğrencilerin finansal okuryazarlık düzeylerinde meydana getireceği etkiyi ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada, nitel araştırma desenlerinden olan “eylem araştırması” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadaki çalışma grubu, amaçlı örneklem yöntemlerinden kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi yöntemi kullanılarak seçilmiştir. Çalışma grubu, Eskişehir ili Tepebaşı ilçesindeki bir ilkokuldaki 25 dördüncü sınıf öğrencisidir. Eylem araştırması için finansal okuryazarlıkla ilgili etkinlikler hazırlanmıştır. Etkinlikler, çalışma grubundaki öğrencilere 5 hafta süreyle uygulanmıştır. Etkinliklerden önce ve sonra standartlaştırılmış açık uçlu görüşme formu uygulanmıştır. Öğrencilerle yapılan ön görüşme ve son görüşme sonuçları doküman analizine tabi tutularak, nitel içerik analizi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları, finansal okuryazarlık becerisine ilişkin yapılan etkinliklerin öğrencilerin finansal okuryazarlık düzeylerini artırdığını göstermektedir.

Action Research On The Acquisition Of Financial Literacy Skills By Activities In Social Studies

Öz

Social studies is a course aimed at raising effective citizens who are equipped with knowledge and skills and values. In this course, a set of skills that every individual should have is gained for social life. One of these skills is financial literacy. The purpose of this study is to reveal the effects of the activities prepared on the "financial literacy" skill in the Social Studies curriculum on the financial literacy levels of the students. In this research, "action research", which is one of the qualitative research patterns, was used. While selecting the study group of the research, easily accessible case sampling method was used. The study group is 25 fourth grade students from a primary school in Tepebaşı district of Eskişehir. Financial literacy activities were prepared for action research.The activities were applied to the study group for 5 weeks. Standard open-ended interview form was applied before and after the activities. Results of the pre-interview and post interview with students were subjected to document analysis and analyzed with qualitative content analysis. The research results show that the activities related to financial literacy skills increase the financial literacy levels of students.
