A Systematic Review of Studies on the Burden of Ischemic Heart Disease

Aim:. The objective of this study is to ascertain the burden of ischemic heart disease at the regional, national, and global levels. In addition, the study will summarise the extant literature to assist health policy makers in making evidence-based decisions regarding the management of ischemic heart disease. Methods:The present study employed the systematic review method. In pursuit of the research objective, a comprehensive examination of studies employing a series of keywords related to the concepts of "DALY", "Disability-Adjusted Life Years" and "DALYs" was conducted, with the criteria meticulously determined in the Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, Science Direct, and ProQuest databases. Results: The evaluation process involved the meticulous scrutiny of 13 studies, all of which were found to align with the stringent inclusion criteria set forth by the research. Conclusion:The research yielded findings that indicate a persistent yet diminished prevalence of age-standardized incidence, prevalence, mortality and burden of disease (DALYs) of ischemic heart disease, despite a decline observed in many regions in recent years.

İSKEMİK KALP HASTALIK YÜKÜ ÇALIŞMALARINA İLİŞKİN SİSTEMATIK BIR İNCELEME

Öz

Amaç:Bu araştırmanın amacı, iskemik kalp hastalık yükünü bölgeler, ülkeler ve küresel düzeyde belirlemek ve sağlık politikacılarına iskemik kalp hastalığını yönetme konusunda kanıta dayalı kararlar almalarına yardımcı olabilecek alan yazını özetlemektir. Yöntem:Araştırmada yöntem olarak sistematik derleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın amacı çerçevesinde, web of Scıence, Scopus, Pubmed, Science Direct, ProQuest, veri tabanlarında belirlenen ölçütlerle DALY”, “Disability-Adjusted Life Years”ve “DALYs” kavramları ile ilişkili bir dizi anahtar kelimelerle yapılan çalışmalar incelenmiş olup araştırmanın dahil etme kriterleri doğrultusunda 13 çalışma değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda iskemik kalp hastalığının yaşa göre standardize edilmiş insidans, prevalans, mortalite ve hastalık yükünün (DALY) son yıllarda birçok bölgede azalmış olmasına rağmen hala önemli bir boyutta olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
