The aim of this study is to evaluate the opinions of the instructors who conduct their classes in online classes by using online teaching applications on the creation of a positive classroom culture in the online environment and to develop suggestions for practitioners. The research was designed with a case study, one of the qualitative research models. The study group of the research was determined by criterion sampling, which is one of the purposive sampling methods that allows the selection and in-depth research of the people who are thought to be rich in information. The study group of the research consisted of 12 lecturers working at a private university in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the 2020-2021 academic year. In the research, data were collected through face-to-face interviews made through a semi-structured interview form. 309 minutes and 23 seconds of audio recording was analyzed. Nvivo R1 original program was used in the analysis of the data and thematic coding was done. When the findings obtained in the research were examined, it was determined that the instructors did not see the online teaching environments as a real classroom environment, that this situation eliminated the social learning environment and that there was a decrease in human values due to the loss of social interaction of the students.
