THE IMPACT OF COMMON MYTHOLOGICAL ELEMENTS ON THE FORMATION OF MULTICULTURAL STRUCTURE AND THE ARTISTIC REFLECTIONS OF THIS SITUATION
Öz
The humankind generally had similar experiences and
belief systems, although they lived in the regions had very different
geographical and climatic structures. On one hand, this situation caused the
formation of a multicultural structure and on the other hand, it gives the
information about the fact that the societies which did not know each other
followed the common/same values. One of the sources maintaining this rich
structure which was revealed in the cultural sense is the mythologies which
were approached with similar samples by many communities. While the mythologies
are giving the enlightening information about experiences of communities, on
the other hand, they are unearthing the common values of groups of people
living in different regions and they are searching for the sources of these
values. The mythologies that are sometimes accepted as the common myths which
do not have relevance to the reality all astonished the people frequently with
the material remains revealed. The fact that the events which raised the doubt
if they were lived or not and taken place only in mythologies showed themselves as the events which were
really lived as a result of the archaeological developments caused the
realization of many new formations and evaluations in human history. Naturally,
being repeated of the mythological events have the similar features in many
different geographies with the differences only about the names or showing the
presence similarly poses an informative
status about the interaction between communities. Here, one of the
areas that contribute the ensuring the continuity and demonstrating the
similarity of mythological elements is art. Thus, it is known
that the mythological events are approached intensely in different branches of
art and the art illuminates the past as the historical documents. The purpose of this study is
making the associations among the common mythological events which have an
important place in the lives of societies and revealing the contribution of the
artworks with the samples for the recognition and continuity of these events.
İt is thought that revealing the mythological similar events with the samples
belong to the different branches of the art and making the proof of these
interactions with solid foundations will make the contribution to the
international peace as well as strengthening and experiencing the cultural
interaction in today's society.
