The study's primary objective is to comprehensively examine research on 'maritime terrorism'. The aim is to facilitate researchers' work. Data were accessed through the Web of Science (WOS) database, and analysed using the bibliometric analysis method and graphicalised using Vosviewer. This study yielded several conclusions. Firstly, WOS search using "maritime terrorism" revealed 403 works published between 1983 and 2024, covering various study types. The most common type of study among published works in 2010 was the article. Secondly, Md Saiful Karim (6) has the highest number of works among these works. Other, in terms of states, the United States of America ranked first among the states where the work was produced. Fourthly, English is the most preferred language, although many languages are used by authors when writing their works. Fifthly, among the indexes in which the works are published, SCI is the most preferred. Finally, among the keywords used in the studies, 'terrorism' ranks first. In addition, the basis of the study is to fill the literature gap and create a stepping stone for future academic studies.
