Hemşirelik ve Sağlık Ekonomisi

Hemşireler, Türkiye’de sağlık sisteminin vazgeçilmez omurgasını oluşturmaktadırlar. Hemşirelik mesleğinin kapsamı ülkemizde hemşirelik yönetmeliğinde (2010) belirtilmiştir. Bu yönetmeliğe göre hemşireler, toplumda yer alan tüm bireylerin, doğum öncesinden başlayarak yaşamlarının tüm zamanlarında, sağlıklarının korunması, geliştirilmesi, tedavi ve rehabilite edilmesi süreçlerinde rol almaktadırlar. Bu süreçler
içerisinde, sağlıklı bireylere ve hastalara, bakımın yanı sıra eğitimler vermekte, sağlıklı bir toplumun gelişebilmesi için danışmanlık hizmeti sunmaktadırlar. Bireylerin ve toplumun sağlığı ile ilgili araştırmalar yaparak yeni bilgilerin oluşmasına ve gelişmesine yardımcı olurlarken, sağlık hizmetlerinde yönetim görevlerinde bulunup, sağlıkta kalitenin geliştirilmesi için çalışmalar yürütmektedirler. Tüm bu süreçler içerisinde
sağlık çalışanları ve toplumla sürekli, dinamik bir etkileşim halinde bulunmaktadırlar. Bu etkileşim ile birlikte yapmış oldukları uygulamalar doğrudan ve dolaylı olarak sağlık harcamalarına etki yapabilmektedir. Sağlık harcamaları sağlık ekonomisi alanını ilgilendiren harcamalardır. Hemşirelerin sağlık ekonomisine olan etkileri ülkemizde henüz araştırılmamış bir konudur. Bu konunun daha ileri düzeylerde araştırılabilmesi,
konu hakkında farkındalığın arttırılması ve hemşirelerin sağlık ekonomisine yönelik değerinin anlaşılabilmesi için konu ile ilgili bu derleme çalışması yapılmıştır. Bu derleme hemşirelerin sağlık ekonomisindeki önemlerinin anlaşılmasını sağlayacaktır.

Nursing and Health Economic

Abstract (≤250 WORDS)

Nurses are the indispensable backbone of the health system in Turkey. The scope of nursing profession is stated in the nursing regulations in our country (2010). According to these regulations, nurses play a role in different health processes, starting from prenatal life and continuing lifelong, such as the protection, development, treatment, and rehabilitation of all individuals in the society. During these processes, nurses provide training, care, and consultancy to both healthy and sick individuals for the development of a healthy society. They produce and develop new knowledge by research about the health of individuals and society, perform management duties in health services, and carry out studies to improve quality in health. Throughout these works, they are in constant, dynamic interaction with healthcare professionals and the community. With this interaction, their practices can have an impact directly and indirectly on health expenditures. Health expenditures are expenditures related to health economics. The effects of nurses on health economics have not been investigated in our country yet. In order to investigate this subject at a more advanced level, to raise awareness about the subject, and to understand the value of nurses for health economics, this study reviews the extant literature. This review will provide an understanding of the importance of nurses in health economics
