Nursing at İzmir Kâtip Celebi University in Its Tenth Year

Öz

The Nursing Department was established on 01.03.2011 as the first department of Izmir Kâtip Çelebi University, which was established in 2010 as the fourth state university of Izmir. The Nursing Department admitted its first students in the 2011-2012 academic year with its founding staff consisting of five assistant professors and two lecturers. The department started education with 103 students in the lecture hall on the sixth floor of Çiğli Municipality Old Town Hall. Today, it has reached 38 faculty members, 787 students actively continuing education, 913 graduate nurses it has given since 2015, numerous classrooms suitable for class size, and a large campus with social, cultural, and sports facilities. In addition to the advantage of the city and region it is located in, it is a preferred program with high entrance scores at the national level. The department has a young and dynamic academic staff. This department continues to work with determination and discipline to achieve its strategic goals with the experience and knowledge it has acquired over ten years.

Onuncu Yılında İzmir Kâtip Çelebi Üniversitesin’de Hemşirelik

Öz

Hemşirelik Bölümü; İzmir’in dördüncü devlet üniversitesi olarak 2010 yılında kurulan İzmir Kâtip Çelebi Üniversitesi’nin 01.03.2011 tarihinde kurulan ilk bölümüdür. Beş öğretim üyesi ve iki öğretim görevlisinden oluşan kuruluş kadrosuyla, 2011-2012 eğitim öğretim yılında ilk öğrencilerini almıştır. Çiğli Belediyesi Eski Belediye Binasının altıncı katındaki amfide 103 öğrenci ile eğitim öğretime başlayan bölüm; bugün 38 öğretim elemanına, öğrenimine aktif devam eden 787 öğrenciye, 2015 yılından bu yana verdiği 913 mezun hemşireye, sınıf mevcuduna uygun kapasiteli birçok sınıfa, sosyal, kültürel ve sportif olanaklara sahip büyük bir kampüse ulaşmıştır. Bulunduğu şehir ve bölgenin yanı sıra ulusal çapta yüksek giriş puanları ile tercih edilen bir programdır. Genç ve dinamik bir akademik kadroya sahip olan bölüm; on yıl içinde edindiği deneyim, sahip olduğu bilgi birikimi ile stratejik hedeflerine ulaşma yolunda kararlılıkla ve disiplinle çalışmaya devam etmektedir.
