The pressure sore development which is an important criteria in the evaluation of care quality is still an on-going universal health problem. Malnutrition as an important factor in the pressure sore development delays wound healing. Besides, studies have put forward it to reduce the resistance of the wound site to tearing type forces. In order to prevent the pressure sores which affect the life quality of the patient and causesimportant economic losses, the nutrition follow-up should be initiated at first hospitalization, the presence of malnutrition risk should be determined, and nutrition management should be provided with special programs in patients with malnutrition.
