Öz

This study has been conducted to determine the relationship between postpartum depression (PPD) level and maternal attachment. This cross-sectional study has been conducted with 371 mothers who were hospitalized in a public hospital's maternity service between June-September 2018. The data of the study have been collected with ‘Personel Information Form’, ‘Edinburg Postpartum Depression Scale (EPDS)’ and ‘Mother to Infant Bonding Scale (MIBS)’. For the statistical analysis; number, percentage; mean, standard deviation and Pearson correlation analysis have been used. It has been determined that, of the mothers whose mean age was 28.0±5.7, 40.2% were primary school and below graduates, 69.3% had equal income and expense, and %11.3 were Syrian. The average total score of the EPDS is 5.61±4.51; the average total score of the MIDS is 2.49±3.65. A statistically significant relationship has been found between the EPDS and MIBS mean scores (p<0.05). In addition, it is observed that as the PPD level increases maternal attachment decreases.

POSTPARTUM DEPRESYON DÜZEYİ İLE MATERNAL BAĞLANMA ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİ

Öz

Bu araştırma, postpartum depresyon (PPD) düzeyi ile maternal bağlanma arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Tanımlayıcı nitelikte yapılan bu araştırma Haziran-Eylül 2018 tarihleri arasında bir kamu hastanesinin lohusa servisinde yatan 371 anne üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Veriler, “Kişisel Tanıtım Formu”, “Edinburgh Doğum Sonrası Depresyon Ölçeği (EDSDÖ)” ve “Anne Bebek Bağlanması Ölçeği (ABBÖ)” ile toplanmıştır. İstatistiksel değerlendirmede; sayı, yüzde, ortalama, standart sapma ve Pearson korelasyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Yaş ortalaması 28.0±5.7 olan annelerin %40.2’si ilkokul ve altı mezunu olup, %6.3’ü gelirinin giderine eşit olduğu ve %11.3’ünün Suriyeli olduğu saptanmıştır. EPDS toplam puan ortalaması 5.61±4.51, ABBÖ toplam puan ortalaması 2.49±3.65’tir. EPDS ve ABBÖ puan ortalamaları arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır (p<0.05). Ayrıca, PDD düzeyi arttıkça anne bebek bağlanmasının azaldığı görülmektedir.
