Tüm dünyada yaşanan dijital dönüşüm süreci yeni kavram,
paradigma ve uygulamaları beraberinde getirmiştir. Bu uygulamalardan biri
günümüzde giderek yaygınlaşan tersine mentorluk yaklaşımıdır. Tersine

Digital transformation
process brings together new concepts, paradigms and practices. One of these
applications is the reverse mentoring approach, which is increasingly
widespread in today's world. Reverse mentoring is an innovative approach that
reverses the traditional mentorship relationship. This approach provides
guidance on issues such as technology, social media and current trends for
senior executives who have difficulty follows new technologies and using them.
Reverse mentoring is based on the principle that a young employee with a low
degree of seniority is mentoring a person who is more senior and generally in a
higher managerial position than himself / herself in business life. In this
kind of innovative mentoring, new generations learn from their previous
generations about the business world. Reverse mentoring, two-way information
exchange process, also enhances the quality of communication and cooperation in
business, while promoting learning and development. In addition, this system is
crucial to the sustainability of businesses, helping managers to have a clear
view of the new idea and to gain a global perspective. This research will
examine the emergence, characteristics and benefits of reverse mentoring.
Differences between traditional mentoring and reverse mentoring will be
evaluated comparatively. Finally, they will be given applications of reverse
mentoring from business world.
