Why “History of Islam”?

Those who state that the phrase “History of Islam”, commonly used in our time, has been used mistakenly, because it brings about an impression in our mind as a history of any religion, claim that certain terrible events occured in historical process were to be ascribed to Islam and thus argue that usage of the phrase “History of Muslims” instead of other mentioned above is more exact and correct one than the other. While, such fact as the meanings given for the term Islam in Glorious Koran and also that al-Zahabi and the others, who are the well-known authors of general history, named their works as “History of Islam” show that the use of the phrase “History of Islam” is not mistaken and uncorrect
