Öz

Ahlaki gelişim teorileri ile birey kimliği ve sosyalleşme arasındaki iletişimi mümkün kılan içerik yeniden yapılandırılabilir. Bu bağlamda aşağıdaki tartışmanın merkezinde üç soru yer almaktadır: ilk olarak, yaşam alanında bireyin benimseyebileceği ve onlara dayanarak hareket edebileceği hangi eylem ilkeleri vardır? İkinci olarak, bireysel kimliğini geliştirme sürecindeki bir kişi yine aynı yaşam dünyasının sınırları içerisinde gerçek anlamda kişisel bir ahlaki bakış açısına nasıl ulaşır? Bu iki soruyu yanıtlamak için öncelikle ergenlik dönemindeki çocuk ve geçlerin ahlaki gelişimin yapısına bakılacaktır. Bu gelişimin sadece bireyden bireye değil de kültürel olarak da farklılık gösterdiklerini düşündüğümüzde, sorulması gereken üçüncü soru, bu teorilerin bilimsel tarafsızlık iddialarının kadın bakış açısından sorgulanıp sorgulanamayacağıdır. Bu amaçla, tartışılan teoriler, özellikle günümüzde eleştirel bir incelemeyi hak eden Caroll Gilligan'ın bakım kavramı üzerinden normatif bir değerlendirmeye tabi tutulmaktadır.
