The Learning and Satisfaction Levels of Nursing Students in Relation to Concept Maps and Video Recording
Abstract
This study was carried out to assess the learning and satisfaction levels of students in relation to concept maps and video samples. In the study, the second grade students in the department of nursing in a university recorded videos in groups in relation to the course of patient care they have. The same student group made an individual concept map of patient care in their third year. The questionnaire questions regarding the feeling and opinions of the students to video recordings and concept maps were prepared by the researcher. As a result, the students pointed out that video recording and concept maps were influential upon their understanding, problem solving abilities and learning. They also stated that these methods enabled a holistic approach in patient care.
