In
this study, the mythological stories of the Eastern Slavs (Russian, Ukrainian
and Belarus) by produced on the creation are examined with the descriptive
method. Cosmogony in Slavic mythology; it is considered as the joint work of
God and Satan. The role of Satan in the creation of the Earth, the sky and all
living things, including man, is one of the remarkable aspects of Slavic
mythology. Slavic mythology contains ideas that God is not alone in the act of
creation. It is possible to see the influence of Altaic Turks' creation
mythology and Jewish-Christian religious literature in Slavic cosmogony
narratives, which are dominated by dualist approaches. Here, the interaction of
Slavic cosmogony myth with Jewish sacred texts is discussed. At the same time,
the similarities between creation myths in Turkish mythology and the Slavic
cosmogony narrative are pointed out.
