Today, the protection and promotion of health are among the issues that countries emphasize. Within the framework of health policies, countries make plans and regulations to encourage individuals to take more responsibility for their health in their lives. At the same time, various steps are being taken to create good behavioral changes in matters related to the health of individuals. At this point, it is important to develop methods that will enable individuals to make healthier choices in their lives, and to ensure that elements that negatively affect health and the environment are consciously abandoned or not preferred by individuals. Health policy makers and managers have important duties in this regard. However, their personal attitudes and behaviors also play an important role for individuals to live in a healthier way and in better environmental conditions. In this context, the aim of the study is to test the psychometric properties of the Healthy and Sustainable Lifestyle Scale-Turkish Version (SASYAT) and to evaluate the factors affecting the SASYAT levels of individuals. In terms of design and method, this study is a psychometric and descriptive study. The sample consists of 600 adults aged 18 and over in Turkey. Findings, the content validity index of the scale is 0.88. It was determined that the confirmatory factor analysis fit indices were mostly at the good fit level. Convergent and divergent validity index criteria were met. Test-retest results and Cronbach Alpha coefficients obtained in the first and second samples showed that the scale had high reliability. The SASYAT levels of the individuals scored above the middle level. In conclusion, SASYAT is a valid and reliable tool. SASYAT scale consists of six sub-dimensions: physical fitness, mental health, emotional health, spiritual health, environmentalism and social awareness. As a result of this research according to demographic variables, SASYAT was found to be significantly more effective in those who are married, in the 41-50 age groups, in those who do not work, in those who do regular sports occasionally, and in those who evaluate their health at a very good level.
