Ekolojik Sürdürülebilirliğin Konut Tasarımında Değerlendirilmesi

Öz

Konutun oluşturulması ve kullanımı süreci günümüzde yarattığı çevresel etkiler sebebiyle büyük bir sorumluluk olarak görülmektedir. İnşasında ve kullanımında harcanan enerji, kaynak ve malzemeler ile ortaya çıkan atıklar gibi konular detaylı olarak ele alınmayı gerektirmektedir. Bu nedenle konut tasarımı çevresel sorunlara karşı bir çözüm olarak değerlendirilebilir. Çevresel sorunların çözümünde etkin rol oynayabilecek konutun aynı zamanda günümüz modern yaşam koşullarını destekleyerek toplumun her kesiminin edinebileceği şekilde yaygınlaştırılması gerekmektedir. Tasarımcılar; konutun yarattığı çevresel etkilerin, kullanıcıya ulaşabilme durumunun ve kullanıcıyla etkileşimi olan kullanım sürecinin şekillendirilip düzenlenmesinde etkin rol oynama potansiyeline sahiptirler. Sürdürülebilir-liğin sağlanması amacıyla uluslararası düzeyde yapılan anlaşma ve uzlaşılar ulusal ve yerel politikaları şekillendirirken tasarımcıların bu süreçte güncel gelişmeleri takip eden ve duyarlı bir tutumla konut tasarımına yaklaşmaları gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada sürdürülebilirliğe katkı sağlayacak olan konut tasarımı sürecinde; çevresel etki, kullanım ve erişilebilirlik ile ilgili olarak İngiltere, ABD ve Avustralya’daki örnekler üzerinden değerlendirmeler yapılarak ilkeler belirlenmeye çalışılacaktır.

The process of building and using a house is seen as a great responsibility due to its impacts on environment. Energy expenditure, resource consumption and material using during the process of its construction and usage are issues that required discusses in detail. Therefore house design might be appreciated as a solution of environmental problems. House which can play an active role in solution of environmental problems by supporting current living conditions must be disseminated all segments of community. Designers have a potential of playing active role in the process of shaping and regulating house’s environment impacts, accessibility conditions and usage process which interacts with the user. While at the international level agreements and compromises for the purpose of provide sustainability are forming national and local policies, designers in this process should approach to house design by pursuing current advances and sensitive attitude. In this paper it is tried to determine some principles about house design contributing to sustainability by assessment of UK, USA and Australian cases via its environmental impact, usage and accessibility.
