Birlik kuralı iki ayrı sistem arasındaki etkileşimle yeni bir sistem oluşturmak için yeniden adlandırılmıştır. Böylece dilde dolaylı olarak, kapalı bir şekilde bir büyüme olur ve bu kapalılığı çözebilmek için yeni düzenin gelecekte incelenmesi gerekir.
Bu kurala göre alıcı, şifreleri çözmek ve birliğin özünü anlayabilmek için kendisi ve gönderici arasındaki ilişki türünü keşfetmeye yönelir.
Birlik kuralını açıklayabilmek için belâgat âlimleri, metinlerin temeli, edebiyatın da kalbi olarak görülen “istiâre” adını kullanmışlardır.

Abstract: The union principle is renamed by the interaction between the two seperated systems to produce a new system and thus the expansion of the language indirectly happens a bit of a mystery which requires a future analysis of the new system to understand this message.
According to this rule, to resolve the message and to understand sap of Union, the receiver tries discover the type of the relation between the sender and himself.
To make it clear, rhetoricians called the Union principle as «isti‘âra (borrowing) » which assumed as the main engine of texts and the heartbeat of literature.

الملخص
إنّ قاعدة الاتّحاد و انطلاقا من تسميتها هي ذلك التّفاعل الحاصل بين نظامين مستقلين لينتج من ذلك قيام نظام جديد، و بذلك يكون التوسّع في اللّغة بأسلوب غير مباشر يحدث شيئا من الغموض، ممّا يستلزم على المستقبل تحليل النّظام الجديد لفهم تلك الرّسالة.
فالمتلقي وفق هذه القاعدة يتّجه نحو حلّ رموز و اكتشاف نوع من العلاقات لاستقبال عصارة الاتحاد الّذي بينه وبين الباثّ.
وتتضح لنا قاعدة الاتحاد فيما درج البلاغيون على تسميته بالاستعارة التي تعتبر المحرك الأساسي لدلالات النصّ، والقلب النابض لأدبيته، إذ هي جسر المبدع نحو عالم جديد يخلقه بواسطة اللّغة، فهي تأكيد لحريته و اعتراف به كخالق و باعث الحياة في الكلمات.
