Mevlana Zafer Ali Khan (1873-1956) is one of the most important figures in Urdu literature and united India history. He is a poet of his own style, an exclusive journalist, a courageous politician and an important community leader. Zafer Ali Khan, who completed his education at Aligarh University, adhering to the principles of this educational institution, it carried out works towards the goal of social reform. As a literary and journalist, he has gained an important place in India history in raising public awareness and preparing him for specific goals. It is obvious that his work on British administration and his rebellion against captivity made a great contribution to India's struggle for independence. Because he has taken on an active duty in any formation that will contribute to the struggle for rebellion and independence in captivity. As Iqbal said: “All the national and political currents of the sub-continent seem to be grateful for his superior efforts.”The newspaper Zemindar, which he was issuing, enabled his anti-bondage rhetoric to reach all segments of society.
Zafer Ali Khan also closely followed developments in Muslim countries other than India. The Turks, in particular, became the nation he watched intently. This is the period when the Tripoli and Balkan wars took place and the imperial forces were preparing to destroy the Ottoman Empire. During this period, he wrote many poems and organized rallies. He became one of the most important leaders of the Caliphate Movement. After World War I becouse of occupation of Anatolia he was very upset. Despite all circumstances, The Turkish victory over Western expansion further fueled the revolt of his captivity.
