Öz

The present study aims at clarifying the social capital concept by analyzing different definitions and descriptions on it which has been developed on social sciences literature last thirty years. In this context, the concept is investigated from individuals level to societal level with regarding to different features of it and evaluated its convenience of using on social problems as a way of solution . Specifically it is focused the aspect of social capital which regarded as removing the distance between sociology and economy.
