Depolanmış Ürün Zararlıları İle Savaşımda Zeolitin Kullanım Olanakları

Öz

Zeolitlerin temel fiziksel ve kimyasal özellikleri arasında iyon değişimi yeteneği, adsorpsiyon ve bu özelliklere bağlı moleküler elek yapısı, yüksek silis içeriği bulunması, tortul zeolitlerin açık renkli olmaları, hafif yapıları, küçük kristal boyutlarına sahip gözenekli yapıları sayılabilir. Bu özellikler, zeolitlerin çeşitli endüstriyel alanlarda geniş bir şekilde kullanılmasına olanak sağlamıştır. Doğal zeolitlerin, depolanmış ürün zararlılarından Sitophilus oryzae (L.) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), Rhyzopertha dominica (F.) (Coleoptera:Bostrychidae) ve Tribolium castaneum (Herbst) (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae)'un savaşımında insektisidal potansiyele sahip oldukları bilinmektedir. Doğal zeolitlerin ve diğer inert tozların insektisit potansiyeli, doğrudan fiziksel ve kimyasal özelliklerine (yapı, SiO2 içeriği, parçacıkların iriliği ve kompozisyonu, PH değerleri, absorbsiyon kapasitesi ve coğrafi köken) bağıl hava nemine, ürün tipine/özelliklerine ve maruziyet süresine bağlı olmaktadır. Kodeks Alimentarius Komisyonu (Codex Alimentarius Commission) tarafından tahılların depolanmasında sorun olan zararlı böceklerin yönetiminde “Silikatlar, kil, sodyum silikat” adı altında Zeolit'i tavsiye etmiş ve bitki zararlı ve hastalıklarıyla mücadelede izin verilen maddeler içinde zeolit delistelenmiştir.

Possibilities Of Using Zeolite In Controlling Stored Product Pests

Öz

The main physical and chemical properties of zeolites are: ion exchange ability, adsorption and related molecular sieve structure, silica content, as well as the light color, lightness, and pore structure of small crystals in sedimentary zeolites, which have caused them to be used in a wide variety of industrial areas. Natural zeolites have insecticidal potential in the control of the stored product pests Sitophilus oryzae, Rhyzopertha dominica, and Tribolium castaneum. The insecticidal potential of natural zeolites and other inert dusts is directly dependent on their physical and chemical properties (structure, SiO2 content, size and presence of particles, PH values, absorbent capacity, and geographic origin), relative air humidity, exposure, and their effects on the bulk density of stored products. The Codex Alimentarius Commission has recommended zeolite under the name "silicates, clay, and sodium silicate" for the control of insect pests in food communities, and zeolite is listed as a permitted substance for plant pest and disease control.
