Türk Çocuk ve Gençlik Edebiyatında Diasporanın Yansımaları

Öz

Dünyada yaşanan köklü değişiklikler, salgın hastalıklar, teknoloji, savaş, sınırların anlamının değişmesi, zorunluluklar ya da bireysel kararlar, insanların farklı ülkelere yönelme eğilimlerini belki de daha önce hiç olmadığı kadar artırmıştır. Bu ve benzeri durumlara bağlı olarak gerek ülkemizde gerekse dünyada, göçmen olma ya da bir diasporaya mensup olma deneyimini çeşitli yönleriyle yaşayan kişileri yansıtmayı amaçlayan bir edebî yaklaşım gözle görülür hâle gelmiştir. Araştır manın amacı; alışık oldukları ortam ve kültürel bağlamdan uzaklaşan insanların bu süreçte yaşadıkları deneyimleri farklı yönleriyle ele alan çocuk ve gençlik edebiyatı yapıtlarını incelemektir. Araştırmada, ana teması göçmenlik ya da diaspora olan çocuk ve gençlik edebiyatı yapıtlarında, çocuk ve genç göçmenlerin deneyimlerinin nasıl sunulduğu ve göçmenlikle ilgili ideolojilerin nasıl yansıtıldığına odaklanılmıştır. Bu yapıtlar yalnızca göçmen çocukların ve gençlerin deneyimlerini betimlemekle kalmıyor, aynı zamanda göç ve aidiyetle ilgili ideolojilerin yayılmasında da etkili oluyor. Araştırmada doküman analizi yönteminden yararlanılmıştır. Yapıtlar eleştirel içerik analizi yöntemiyle çözümlenmiş, betimsel kodlamadan yarar lanılmıştır. Kodlama sonucunda belirli kategoriler ve temalara ulaşılmıştır. Göçmen deneyimleriyle ilgili temalardan biri olan Değişimi Betimleme’nin kategorileri: Dil Engelleri, Gerçekçi Deneyimler, Duyguların İfadeleri ve Sosyal Uyum’dur. Deneyime dayalı bir diğer tema olan Yaratılan Vatan temasının alt kategorileri ise Vatan Anlatısı ile Vatana Karşı Yaşanılan Ülke olarak belirlenmiştir. Göçmenlerle ilgili ideolojilere ilişkin temaların ilki olan Ötekilik temasının alt kategorileri ise Sosyal İlişki Kurma, Göçmen Kimliklerinin Temsili ve Dışlama/Marjinalleştirme’dir. Bir diğeri olan Sınırlı Özerklik temasına bağlı olarak Bastırılmış Kahramanlar ve Irkçılık Direniş alt kategorilerine ulaşılmıştır.

Reflections of Diaspora in Turkish Children’s and Youth Literature

Öz

Fundamental changes have driven people to adopt new perspectives and, in some cases, relocate. This has heightened migration tendencies, resulting in a growing body of literature that reflects the experiences of diaspora members, addressing social, cultural, and psychological contexts. The study focuses on how the experiences of child and youth immigrants are represented and how ideologies related to migration are conveyed in children’s and young adult literary works whose main theme is migration or diaspora. These literary works not only depict the experiences of immigrant children and youth but also participate in the dissemination of ideologies surrounding migration and belonging. Using document analysis, the research employs descriptive coding to identify subcategories, categories, and themes, analyzing how authors address diaspora in these works. The analysis identified several themes and their corresponding subcategories. The themes related to immigrants’ experiences include Portraying Change, with categories such as Language Barriers, Authenticity of Experiences, Emotional Representation, and Social Integration. Another experiencecentered theme, Created Homelands, consist of the subcategories Portrayal of the Homeland and Homeland vs. Host Country. The themes associated with ideologies about immigrants include Otherness, encompassing subcategories like Connecting with Others, Representation of Migrant Identities, and Isolation/Marginalization, as well as Restricted Autonomy, with subcategories Subdued Protagonists and Racism and Resistance.
