Mezenkimal Kök Hücre Ve Maksiilofasiyal Cerrahide Kullanımı

Öz

Özet: Kök hücreler
organizmada farklı hücre tiplerine dönüşebilen, canlı kaldıkça yaşamlarını
sürdürme özelliğine sahip ve kendi kendilerini yenileyebilen hücrelerdir.

Elde
edildiği yere göre embriyonal ve yetişkin kök hücresi olmak üzere 2 tip kök
hücre bulunmaktadır.
Embriyonal kök hücreler ile ilgili etik sınırlamalardan
dolayı çalışmalar kısıtlıdır. Mezenkimal kök hücrelerdeki çalışmalar hem elde
ediliş kolaylığı hem de rejeneratif tıpta kullanım alanı bulması ile öne
çıkmaktadır.
Son yıllardaki çalışmalarda maksillofasiyal orjinli kök
hücrelerin vücutta çok fazla hücreye diferansiye olabildiği gösterilmiştir, bu
nedenle, gelecekte sadece oral dokular değil ekstra-oral doku ve organlar için
de önemli hücre kaynakları oluşturmaları olasıdır. Bu derlemede kök hücreler,
mezenkimal kök hücreler, oral kavite kaynaklı MKH’lar ve maksillofasiyal cerrahideki
çeşitli klinik kullanım alanları yer almaktadır.
