Following the Treaty of Mondros, the Ottoman State was asked to break up, upon which Mustafa Kemal (1881-1938) started the Anatolian-centered National Struggle against the occupation of the state. This struggle is undoubtedly very important for the reconstruction and survival of a state whose territory has been occupied by foreign powers. For this reason, Erzurum and Sivas congresses were organized by Mustafa Kemal and his fellow soldiers independent of the Istanbul Government and a certain struggle plan was prepared in those. First of all, military power, in addition to this scientific class, the cult sheikhs operating nationally and locally as well as tribal warlords made a great contribution to this struggle. In this article, the contributions of the takkah and tarikah sheikhs who worked both in Istanbul and outside Istanbul during the National Struggle years started in Anatolia are discussed. The scope of the study was limited to the years between 1918-1923. This is not an archive work. For this reason, the resources used consist of written works that were written at that time and later on. After our study, it was observed that a great majority of the Sufis were with Gazi in the defense of the homeland, and some of them actually participated in the war together with their followers. It was also understood that such crafts sometimes encouraged the public as a motivating force, and that some lodges served as a base in delivering arms to Anatolia. In Ankara, which was declared the capital of the new Republic after the National Struggle, gathered around Ḥājjī Bayrām Walī (d. 833/1429–30), that hosted a spiritual atmosphere. After the Friday Prayer, the new Assembly was opened here by sacrificing the victims and praying. In the first Assembly, two assistants of Gazi are two well-known Sufi sheikhs.
