Distribution of Rhodeus amarus (Bloch, 1782) (Teleostei: Acheilognathidae) in Turkey

Abstract

The present study aims to reveal the current distribution area of Rhodeus amarus in the freshwaters of Turkey. The survey was conducted between 2004-2019 from 56 sampling locations. Also, it was made a detailed literature research. R. amarus is distributed in rivers and streams flowing into the Black, Aegean, Marmara, Caspian Sea basins, and some lake basins in Anatolia.
