Posterior Servikal Üçgende Tespit Edilen Atipik Yerleşimli Pleomorfik Adenom: Olgu Sunumu

Öz

Pleomorfik adenom, tükürük bezlerinin en sık rastlanan benign tümörüdür ve çoğunlukla parotis, submandibular ve minör tükürük bezlerinde görülür. Ancak heterotopik tükürük bezi dokusundan kaynaklanan ve boyun gibi atipik bölgelerde gelişen olgular oldukça nadirdir. Bu olgu sunumunda, boyun sağ posterior servikal üçgende yerleşimli pleomorfik adenom tanısı konulan 62 yaşında kadın hasta sunulmuştur. Klinik değerlendirme, radyolojik görüntüleme ve ince iğne aspirasyon biyopsisi ile benign bir oluşum olduğu desteklenmiş ve kitle cerrahi olarak eksize edilmiştir. Histopatolojik inceleme sonucu benign mikst tümör (pleomorfik adenom) olarak raporlanmıştır. İki yıllık takip sürecinde nüks izlenmemiştir. Bu olgu, atipik lokalizasyonlarda ortaya çıkan boyun kitlelerinin değerlendirilmesinde pleomorfik adenomun ayırıcı tanıda dikkate alınması gerektiğini göstermektedir.

Pleomorphic Adenoma Arising from an Atypical Site in the Posterior Cervical Triangle: A Case Report

Öz

Pleomorphic adenoma is the most common benign tumor of the salivary glands, typically arising from the parotid, submandibular, and minor salivary glands. However, cases originating from heterotopic salivary gland tissue and developing in atypical locations such as the neck are extremely rare. In this case report, we present a 62-year-old female patient diagnosed with pleomorphic adenoma located in the right posterior cervical triangle of the neck. Clinical evaluation, radiological imaging, and fine-needle aspiration biopsy supported the benign nature of the lesion, which was subsequently excised surgically. Histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of benign mixed tumor (pleomorphic adenoma). No recurrence was observed during a two-year follow-up period. This case highlights the importance of considering pleomorphic adenoma in the differential diagnosis of neck masses located in atypical regions.
