İstatistiksel Performans Göstergelerinin Küresel İnovasyon Üzerindeki Etkisinin Değerlendirilmesi: Veriye Dayalı Bir Analiz

Öz

Amaç: Bu çalışma, İstatistiksel Performans Göstergeleri (SPI) ile Küresel Yenilik Endeksi (GII) ile ölçülen ulusal yenilik kapasitesi arasındaki ilişkiyi inceler. İstatistiksel altyapının yenilik sonuçlarını ve politika etkinliğini nasıl etkilediğini belirlemeyi amaçlar. Yöntem: 2011'den 2022'ye kadar 149 ülkeyi kapsayan bir veri kümesi kullanılarak, SPI'lar bağımsız değişkenler ve GII puanları ve yaratıcı çıktılar bağımlı değişkenler olarak kullanılarak çok değişkenli bir regresyon analizi yürütülmüştür. İstatistiksel analiz, Python kullanılarak, Sıradan En Küçük Kareler (OLS) regresyonu ve Granger nedensellik testleri kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bulgular: Sonuçlar, sağlam istatistiksel sistemler ile daha yüksek yenilik performansı arasında güçlü bir korelasyon olduğunu göstermektedir. Veri kalitesi, insan sermayesi ve yönetişim gibi faktörler yeniliği olumlu etkilerken, belirli sürdürülebilirlik ve ekonomik göstergeler karışık etkiler göstermektedir. Gelişmiş SPI'lara sahip ülkeler üstün yaratıcı çıktılar ve GII puanları göstermektedir. Pratik Uygulamalar: Hükümetler ve politika yapıcılar, ulusal inovasyon stratejilerini geliştirmek, kaynakları etkili bir şekilde tahsis etmek ve inovasyon ekosistemlerini destekleyen politikalar tasarlamak için SPI'ları kullanabilirler. Teknoloji ve ekonomik kalkınmada bilgili karar alma için güvenilir istatistiksel veriler çok önemlidir. Özgünlük: Bu çalışma, istatistiksel performans ölçümlerini inovasyon kapasitesiyle bütünleştirerek literatürdeki boşlukları kapatarak SPI'ların inovasyon üzerindeki etkisinin yeni bir ampirik incelemesini sunmaktadır. İstatistiksel sistemlerin ulusal rekabet gücünü şekillendirmedeki rolünü anlamak için veri odaklı bir yaklaşım sunmaktadır. Kısıtlamalar: Çalışma, inovasyon dinamikleri istatistiksel kapasiteleri de etkileyebileceğinden, olası ters nedensellik ve veri kısıtlamalarıyla sınırlıdır. Evaluating the Impact of Statistical Performance Indicators on Global Innovation: A Data-Driven Analysis

Öz

Purpose: This study examines the relationship between Statistical Performance Indicators (SPIs) and national innovation capacity, as measured by the Global Innovation Index (GII). It aims to determine how statistical infrastructure influences innovation outcomes and policy effectiveness. Methodology/Approach: Using a dataset covering 149 countries from 2011 to 2022, a multivariate regression analysis was conducted with SPIs as independent variables and GII scores and creative outputs as dependent variables. Statistical analysis was performed using Python, employing Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression and Granger causality tests. Findings: Results indicate a strong correlation between robust statistical systems and higher innovation performance. Factors such as data quality, human capital, and governance positively impact innovation, while certain sustainability and economic indicators show mixed effects. Countries with advanced SPIs demonstrate superior creative outputs and GII scores. Practical Implications: Governments and policymakers can use SPIs to enhance national innovation strategies, allocate resources effectively, and design policies that foster innovation ecosystems. Reliable statistical data is crucial for informed decision-making in technology and economic development. Originality: This study provides a novel empirical examination of SPIs’ impact on innovation, bridging gaps in the literature by integrating statistical performance measures with innovation capacity. It offers a data-driven approach to understanding the role of statistical systems in shaping national competitiveness. Limitations: The study is limited by potential reverse causality and data constraints, as innovation dynamics may also influence statistical capacities.
