YAŞLILARIN AKILLI EV TEKNOLOJİLERİYLE İLGİLİ TUTUMLARI: DESTEK TEKNOLOJİLERİYLE İLGİLİ BULGULAR VE ÖNERİLER

Öz

Yaşlanan nüfusun arttığı bir dünyada, insanların sağlıklı ve bağımsız bir hayatı sürdürebilmesi önem kazanmıştır. Akıllı ev kavramı, yaşlı insanların kendi yaşam alanlarında bakımına yardımcı olan, kişisel bağımsızlığa ve sağlığın takip edilmesine, kişinin kendi yaşam ortamında olanak sağlayan bir yaklaşımdır. Destek teknolojileriyle donatılmış konutlarda algılayıcılar, uyarıcılar ve biyomedikal ekranların yer aldığı bir ağ ile veri toplanmakta ve işlenmekte, buna bağlı olarak yaşlıların sağlık denetimleri yapılıp etkinlikleri denetlenebilmektedir. Bilgi iletişim teknolojilerindeki gelişmelerle sağlık, güvenlik ve bağımsız yaşam koşullarına destek veren çeşitli araçlar ve servisler geliştirilmiş, böylece yaşlı insanların günlük etkinliklerinin uzaktan izlenmesi, yönetilmesi ve gerektiğinde müdahale edilmesi sağlanabilmektedir. Bu bildiride destek teknolojileri ve uygulamaları gözden geçirilmiş ve destek teknolojilerinin yaşlılar tarafından algılanışı ve beklentileri üzerine bir odak grubu ile çalışma yapılmıştır. Katılımcılar, teknolojik olanaklarla ilgili; kullanılabilirlik, güvenlik, bağımsızlık, servis ve ürünlere erişilebilirlik kavramları üzerinden değerlendirmeler yapmışlardır. Destek teknolojilerinin yaygınlaşabilmesi için gerekli araştırma ve uygulanacak politikalar üzerine tartışılmış ve bir uygulanabilirlik modeli önerilmiştir.
