Konsolidasyon Deneyi Gözenekli Taş Empedans Faktörü Geçirimlilik Killi Zemin
In this study, the permeability coefficients of the porous stones used in the consolidation test were measured and for which types of soils these stones would be suitable is evaluated by using impedance factor defined in ASTM D2435 (2011). The permeability of porous stones was evaluated with two different approaches. In the first approach, the permeability coefficients of the soils that will make the impedance factor of porous stones greater than 100 is calculated and for which soils these stones may be suitable. In the second approach, the impedance factors of porous stones were calculated by using the typical permeability coefficients of the soils derived from geotechnical literature and it was evaluated for which types of soils are suitable by taking into account whether the calculated value is greater than 100. In the experimental study, 7 different porous stones obtained from various public institutions and manufacturers are used. As a result of the measurements and calculations, it was determined that the stones used in the study are suitable for the consolidation test of clayey and silty-clayey soils. The results obtained showed that the impedance factor defined in ASTM D2435 (2011) gives very useful results in evaluating the permeability of porous stones used in the consolidation test.
