ISO 22000 FOOD SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Abstract

The increase in the level of welfare of the countries and the awareness of the consumers have forced the firms in the food sector to seek for new pursuits. In this re­gard, ISO 22000 is the most commonly preferred food safety system. This study aims to contribute the share­holders and the researchers studying this topic by in­terpreting the latest studies in this field and determine the critical relationships in order to picture an effective and productive implementation of ISO22000 which is one of the international standards for food safety. The literature reviewed and other topics discussed in this study; such as prerequisite programmes which are the critical steps of ISO22000 and HACCP implementati­ons, are thought to guide many firms in the food sector and the researchers in the field.
